The programme
The Society Inc. runs the STOIQ SOCIETY contest and rewards programme using a third-party contest technology provider. Current contests are free to enter and use simulated trading accounts: orders do not reach a real market and do not affect a live brokerage account. The current programme awards platform points, not cash prizes. The Terms of Service also apply.
Entering and taking part
You need an eligible account in good standing and must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher. The programme is not open to residents of the United States. You must meet the country, group and any broker requirements shown for the contest. One entry per member per contest is allowed, and one account per person. Follow the displayed registration window, permitted instruments, trading settings and minimum activity requirements. Do not bypass access restrictions. Contest-specific settings explain how that contest runs; they do not remove your mandatory legal rights.
Results and rewards
The scoring method and prize distribution are shown in the contest. Ties are resolved by when the score was achieved, then lower maximum drawdown, then higher trade count; participants still tied share the prize places they jointly occupy. Prize eligibility is separate from displayed rank: a participant must have a recorded result, meet the minimum trade count and remain eligible. Withdrawn or disqualified entries do not receive prizes. Estimates and live rankings are provisional; final results show the settled outcome. Eligible points are credited after settlement and processing.
Points and the cosmetics shop
Points are platform rewards with no cash redemption or withdrawal facility and cannot be transferred between members. The current shop uses points for cosmetic portraits, backgrounds, borders and banners. Cosmetics change appearance, not contest scores or trading performance. XP and lifetime earned points are separate from the available balance you can spend; spending points does not reduce your lifetime earned total. Corrections to contest rewards may change balances and earned totals. Points expiry is currently disabled.
Points-entry contests
Points-entry contests are not currently offered. If introduced, they will use the same earned points balance as the cosmetics shop. The points cost, when it is deducted, and the cancellation and refund rules will be shown before you register. This does not introduce entry fees paid with money or cash redemption of points.
Getting and using cosmetics
The shop shows the items and total points cost before you confirm. A successful purchase deducts points and adds the items to your collection; already-owned items are not charged again. A changed price requires a fresh confirmation. Removing an item from sale does not remove it from your collection. Cosmetics are for use within your account on the platform and do not transfer ownership of the artwork. We do not offer change-of-mind returns. Contact [email protected] so we can correct failed, duplicate or incorrect purchases. Your mandatory legal rights remain unaffected.
Fair play, cancellations and corrections
Do not use multiple accounts, collude, manipulate results, exploit technical faults or coordinate opposite positions across contests to manufacture a winning result. We may investigate suspected misuse and restrict or disqualify entries. A contest may be cancelled if it cannot run fairly or does not meet its participation requirements. Cancelled contests do not award contest prizes. Technical failures can delay results or rewards; corrections are recorded rather than treated as new winnings.
Organizers, visibility and questions
Authorized members may create contests within their assigned permissions and reward limits. Creating a contest does not authorize handling members’ money or promising cash prizes. Your contest results and appearance may be visible in profiles, rankings and contest views as explained in the Privacy Policy. Contact [email protected] with the contest name and relevant details within 30 days of the contest's settlement if you dispute a result or reward. We review the records, may consult the technology provider, and The Society Inc. decides the outcome. This review does not limit your legal remedies. Material rule changes will be communicated appropriately.
